Barb, I need to go through my stuff, but I am pretty sure I got the *unaired pilot* from someone on ebay last year when I was trying to catch up (because I didn't watch the show till Christmas). I had read that there was a 70 minute version of the pilot, one that showed why Dean turned around at the end and saved Sam, etc., and this *unaired pilot* was not that one. I don't recall that it was much different at all from the pilot we've all seen, but let me find it this evening (if someone else doesn't tell you before!) and let you know. Again if I remember correctly, I have two or three DVDs of this *unaired pilot* because, after the first one I got wasn't the version with the extra scenes at the end that I had hoped to see, I got another one hoping that it would be different, and then another, but they were all the same as the first. I would be happy to send one to you.
