Weekend round up
Holy crap but did I have a busy weekend.
Started off Friday night, when I got home from work and hubby suddenly had this giant list of stuff he wanted me, and us, to accomplish over the weekend. Work pretty much sucked towards the end of the day on Friday, so I was irritable as it was and then he lays all this on me and I'm like "whatever!" and went and shut myself up in the bedroom with my SPN DVDs and watched Skin first 'cause I wanted to see half naked Dean, and then 'cause I needed to laugh, Hell House. I was in a better mood when I went to bed that night. :-)
Then hubby surprises me with a chocolate donut (my favorite) from a bakery down the road on Saturday morning. He ran out and got it while I was still asleep. Peace offering, I suppose. *g*
Got down to work after breakfast and worked till the early evening unpacking more boxes - 12 of them by the time we were finished, and wiped out. But things look much better now, even if we haven't even touched my enormous Star Wars collection yet. [sigh] That is going to be a chore and a half.
We had some dinner, then hubby went to lay down for a while, his back was hurting him. Left to my own devices I perused my DVDs and settled on X-Files, season 1. I'd just seen David Duchovny on Letterman and then Return to Me was on on Thursday night, so I was in the mood for some Mulder. :-) Ended up watching the Pilot and Deep Throat before then popping in the pilot of SPN. Yeah, I was a total slug for the rest of the night. :-)
We hit the ground running on Sunday, up and out of the house by 8:30 am to run an errand and then have breakfast at a place called The Nest Cafe. Living in a new area, it's nice to find different places to eat. And the food was great! We'll be going back.
Went back to the house for a bit to kill some time before the mall opened and then we started our shopping spree. We need all sorts of new stuff for the house and we got 90% of what we were looking for - all of the bathroom stuff for the guest bath, bedding for the guest bedroom, window treatments for my office, all new bathroom stuff for the master bath, light switches and covers and storage bins for the garage and yet another bird feeder for the hubby. We didn't find window treatments for the living room or the bedrooms, and I should've gone with my first instinct and got the bedding I saw for our bedroom. So now hubby is going back today to get it.
We were gone for like four and a half hours so by the time we got home all I had the energy for was to sit in front of the computer and surf LJ for awhile. :-)
The alarm went off this morning and I swear I wanted to throw it through the window. I am SO not ready for Monday today.
What about you guys? Ready to face another week or do you want a weekend do-over, too? *g*
P.S. - I kinda just freaked myself out. I put new photos in my wallpaper folder on Friday and I kinda forgot I did it. The pictures change every 15 minutes, and I was just looking at a gorgeous picture of Jared and it just flipped - to Dean's "chipmunk face" from Tall Tales. Yikes! LOL! Don't do that to me, Dean!
